The artist is Juan Luis Guerra, 12-time Latin Grammy Award winner and 2-time Grammy award winning Latin artist who has taken the Latin Music word by storm and hasn’t let go. The song is called La Travesia, a single from his 2007 release called La Llave de Mi Corazón

The Conversation: What Black Boys Think Beyond Trayvon Martin

Kevin Powell brings 9 Black and Latino boys ages 10-17 together from the Brooklyn/Queens, NY area. It was shot in Brooklyn, New York in April 2012 at the House of the Lord Church before George Zimmerman was arrested for the fatal shooting. The segment is titled “After Trayvon”, where they discuss Trayvon Martin, their own feelings about the government, and being fearful, education, leadership, violence,  history, unity among black people, and how they see America. Kevin Powell serves as moderator for the conversation.
